Visiting Mountain Grove...

If you're new to Mountain Grove, we recommend that you start by browsing through these web pages. In them you'll find evidence of a family-friendly community of real people experiencing real life together. You'll see a strong and vibrant Faith Jam program for children, a youth group on the move, education opportunities for all ages, opportunities to give back to the community through outreach programs, Bible studies and unpretentious Sunday worship services.

Providing leadership for the church are committed men and women who serve as deacons, teachers, Awana leaders, and in a wide variety of church ministries, councils and committees. God's call is to serve him, each other, our community and the world. This takes a lot of different forms at Mountain Grove, so there is always a place to plug in.

We invite you to listen through one of Pastor Steve's insightful sermons as he teaches from God's word. We invite you to come for Wednesday supper, bring the kids to our amazing Faith Jam activities, join in Pastor Steve's Bible study or raise your voice in song with the Sanctuary Choir. We invite you to worship with us Sunday mornings at 10:30. And we invite you to share in God's work at Mountain Grove in whatever way you feel comfortable.

What to expect in worship services...

Mountain Grove uses is a blend of traditional hymns and newer songs of the Christian faith in an unpretentious and genuine setting. Services generally include music, scripture readings, a time of prayer and a teaching message by Pastor Steve.

The setting is fairly casual. Most of the women wear either office slacks or a dress, and the men generally wear either Khakis and an open collar shirt or a sport coat and tie. Children come in school clothes appropriate for a field trip to the theatre or a museum. The important part is not what we wear but that we enjoy gathering together to worship God.

A nursery is available for those with infants. Toddlers and school age children through Second Grade attend the first part of the worship service and then move to another room for Bible stories and activities that are age appropriate.

Wireless personal monitors are available for those who have a little difficulty hearing the service or understanding the speaker. The monitors are small and unobtrusive, so folks will hardly know that you're using one.

Visitors are always welcome in our services. You'll find the congregation welcoming and warm, but you won't have to worry about being singled out in the service. We have a time early in the service when we greet each other with a handshake, so you'll have a chance to meet some folks at that time.

Mountain Grove welcomes you to join in celebrating the forgiveness that God offers each of us through Jesus and to become part of this church family's daily walk of faith. We look forward to welcoming you as our guest.
